Rob Durrett:

Hard-rocking-goatee-wearing bassist and custom guitar maker. Along with working on the guitars, Rob is the promotional and business figurehead of the company. His tenacity, energy, and enthusiasm are crucial to making their business a success.

Brian “Wave” Chapman:

The bald-bad-ass-lead-guru of custom guitar making. Wave is a mad scientist when it comes to making custom guitars. He lives for pushing the art and craftsmanship of each guitar he builds. Currently he is working on specialty guitar shapes that actually follow that natural pattern of the original wood.

Jennifer Fox:

In addition to being an assistant at Rob Wave custom guitars, Jennifer is also the lead singer for “Jennifer Fox and the Pillow Fighters”, a cover-band that Rob and Wave also perform in. Jennifer is the motivator and organizer for many of the things Rob and Wave have to do for their business. She helps them keep their lives in order as well, acting as a surrogate mother sometimes, to her chagrin.

Back-story:

Best friends for 25 years, Rob Durrett and Bryan "Wave" Chapman grew up in West Paducah, Ky. Then fledgling musicians, Rob and Wave met in their freshman year of high school and an immediate friendship emerged. They immediately formed a band and played a wide variety of musical styles throughout the 1980’s & 90’s to become a regional sensation.

Both came from lower-income families, spent their summers learning carpentry with Wave’s father, and working with Rob’s cousins in the tobacco & hay fields.

The duo excelled in art and videography in school, winning numerous awards for their artistic abilities, including 2 state awards for videography in 1984-85. After years of college and working construction, the two combined their creative and woodworking backgrounds in 1999 to start RobWave, a custom guitar building business. They continue to perform as musicians and, in fact, wrote and recorded the original music score for this series.
